Unlike most breakers, Andrew and I offer a very competitively priced, 6 week breaking service as we know there isn't a lot of money floating around! We charge an all inclusive fee of $1 320 (inc. GST) which includes all feed costs, daily rugging, wormer on arrival and every month while they are here as well as their first shoeing. So you are only really paying a little over $800 for the actual breaking when you take out all the extras.
Where we differ from other breakers is in the personalised service that we offer as an addition to the breaking. As the horses’ owner, we aim for you to be included in the process as much as possible. You will receive photos and videos of all the major milestones so you will feel like you are here for the whole process. These can be supplied to you via email or we can set up a private album on our Facebook page so you can share your horses’ progress with all your friends.
Our methods are very soft so the end result is a well mannered horse that will be a pleasure to ride rather than a "broken" horse. This means our breakers can, and do, lend themselves to anything from day to day station work to English or western disciplines. We also offer other services in addition to breaking including re-educating for started or spelled horses as well as cutting and camp draft preparation which can be added to your starting program. We are very flexible so we are more than happy to tailor a program to your needs if you so desire however below is an outline of our week to week expectations.
